Rosalisa captures the weight of tradition, love, and the sacrifices families make across generations with real emotional depth — this one stays with you after the final page. I truly loved this book. From the beginning, I felt myself getting completely invested in the characters and their stories. The character development was so well done that by the end, I genuinely felt like I knew them. I cared about them, felt their heartache, and found myself emotionally caught up in everything they were going through. Rosa’s descriptions were incredible. I could picture every room, every setting, and every outfit so clearly as I was reading. It felt like I was right there with the characters, experiencing everything alongside them. The emotions came through so strongly that I could actually feel the heartache as I turned each page. And that ending! 😭 It made me cry, but it also left me desperately wanting more. I need to know what happens to these characters! I am so glad there will be a Book 2 because I am absolutely not ready to say goodbye to them yet. For a new author, Rosa Buzzetta is definitely on her way. She has created characters you become attached to, a story that pulls you in, and a world that is so vividly written you can see it in your mind. I truly enjoyed this book and cannot wait to see where she takes the story next.

Really enjoyed this story of two family dynasties! Rosa brings to life their emotions with such beautiful writing that you feel for each and every character whether it be love, betrayal, jealousy, honor or greed. Can’t wait for the next installment.

This book does a great job of giving back story to how these empires came to be and also how money and power influence society around us whether we know it or not. A story of love within a story about family and loyalty and making you think what would you REALLY do if faced with a seemingly impossible decision. I have a feeling things aren’t down without a fight so I’m excited to see where things go from here!
